With 34 years of experience as a Forestry Engineer, has a broad area of expertise. He has focused on managing and utilizing tropical soils and their connection with forest vegetation in tropical savannas, the Guayana Shield forests, and the Amazon.

Forestry engineer with 45 years of experience specializing in Geobotany, Phytosociology, Biodiversity Evaluation and Monitoring, Vegetal Ecology, and Floristic Inventories. Proficient in Tropical dry and moist forests, lowland savannas, cloud forests, páramos, and mangroves.

Forestry engineer with 38 years of experience, having worked for the National Parks Institute (INPARQUES) in Territorial Planning, Community Management, Environmental Management, and the Formulation of draft laws and policies for the conservation and preservation of natural areas involving communities. Environmental Consultant and member of the Commission of Protected Natural Areas in Venezuela and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
